We are thrilled to announce that we placed the first Litter Trap in Breda, the Netherlands!
The Litter Trap is positioned in the river Mark close to Belcrum Beach.
It will collect floating plastic and prevent it from entering the North Sea where it would reach the plastic soup.
Thanks to two floating booms, the Litter Trap guides riverine litter into the collecting basket which will be emptied on a weekly basis.
The retrieved plastics will be up-cycled to create new and durable circular products.

We are very excited to announce that we will replace the Litter Traps made with locally available materials with stronger ones made of recycled plastic. Together with the local community we will brainstorm and research which products can be produced with the plastic we retrieve.
